Lynda Steelman, Au.D. joined our practice as our primary pediatric audiologist in 2008. Dr. Steelman has special interest in pediatric amplification, auditory processing disorder, and diagnostic testing for children and adults with special needs.
"I often joke that I entered the field of Audiology “through the back door” as my undergraduate education is in both animal sciences and special education. I have experience working with individuals with disabilities of all ages and I also had aspirations of completing veterinary school. I initially tried Audiology because I was interested in research to help children with autism. I absolutely love being a pediatric audiologist because it allows me to help children of all ages and abilities! It is so rewarding to help a baby hear for the first time or ease the academic struggles of children with auditory processing disorder!" ~ Dr. Steelman
